The Mosul Youth Resistance Movement, Iraq, which was formed to fight Islamic State  in Mosul, has  killed five Boko Haram insurgents who were in training, according to BasNew. Saed Mamuzini, Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Mosul spokesperson, told BasNews that the youth movement killed the insurgents in the Dargaza neighbourhood of eastern Mosul.

Mamuzini said: “The Nigerian Boko Haram militants were in Mosul to take part in a military training course conducted by Islamic State.”

Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau, a few months ago had pledged allegiance to IS, whose tentacles have spread to some countries on the continent of Africa, especially Libya.

The Nigerian military with help from their counterparts from Chad, Niger, and Cameroon have dislodged Boko Haram from strategic areas in Nigeria, where they had hitherto won enough grounds up to the size of Belgium.
