PDP bigwig slumps, dies in Asaba

A rank member of  Delta State Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP), Dr. Brown Knowledge Anderson,  slumped and died in a hotel room in Asaba on Thursday.

Already detectives from the state police command are trying to unravel the circumstance the led to the death of Anderson.

Reports indicated that  Anderson  who was up till his death the Delta State Treasurer of the party was  found dead in Hotel Valerie located on Direct Labour Agency road Asaba  few hours after  he checked into the room.

The deceased was said to have arrived Asaba from  Warri where he was residing with his family to attend the inauguration of members of End of Tenure Committee constituted by Governor Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan when the tragedy struck.

Adasen, who was a member of the committee,  was said to have driven to the Hotel on his request to have a moment rest before the ceremony.

But unfortunately the rest turned eternal.  The driver became apprehensive when his boss who had told him about the inauguration period did not respond.

According to the reports,efforts by the  driver despite various efforts could not  reach his boss, prompting his the driver to request the Hotel Management for its spare key.

Men from state police headquarters are said to be working to to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death, even as the corpse was .

even as the deposited at the Federal Medical Centre Asaba.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer DSP Celestine Kalu  confirmed the incident to journalists in Aaba on Thursday.
