Police bar Ajero-led NLC faction from holding rally at National Stadium, Surulere

The Nigerian police on Thursday, May 1, 2015, bared the Nigerian Labour Congress faction led by Joe Ajaero from making use of the facility to mark the May Day celebration.

Unable to secure access to the national staduim, surulere lagos, the faction decided to hold their part of the rally under the bridge adjacent to the stadium.

Spear-headed by the chairman NLC, lagos state chapter, Mr. T.N.A. Korodo, the workers in the glare light of the day, peacefully performed the yearly ritual of Worker’s Day, 2015, while the police ensured the national stadium lagos was sealed.

A segment of the labour centre led by Comrade Joe Ajaero rejected the election which allegedly won by   Ayuba Wabba, citing several infractions in the electoral process.

They had rebuffed attempts by Wabba faction at reconciliation faction following the disputed March 12 rescheduled Congress election.

The Ajero group claimed  such a committee was dead on arrival because the Chairman of the Committee and some other members were interested parties in the crisis.
