OGUN INAUGURATES NEW HEAD OF SERVICE

A new Head of Service for the Ogun State Government, Princess Iyabo Odulate, is to be inaugurated during the state Executive Council meeting in Abeokuta today.

Odulate, until her appointment, was the Permanent Secretary in the state Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the Chairman of the Committee of Permanent Secretaries in the state.

In a statement by the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr. Sina Kawonise, in Abeokuta on Tuesday, the new Head of Service, who had spent 14 years as a permanent secretary, succeeded Chief Oladipo Odulate, who retired as the HOS at the end of March, 2010.

Kawonise said the inauguration would be conducted by the state Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, during the meeting, which would be the maiden cabinet meeting for the new HOS.

The information commissioner also disclosed that the state had approved the establishment of the Bureau of Tertiary Institutions.
