North East Development Commission Should Be Established—Pressure Group Calls

A youth group under the banner of Adamawa Youth Initiative is asking the Federal government to establish a North east development commission to bring rapid development to the ravaged people who suffered insurgents attacks of various degree.

The leader of the group, Hamisu Idris Medugu, who addressed journalist at press centre call the president elect to set a priority for the north east region

'President-elect Gen Muhammadu Buhari and his party the (APC) should know that the expectation of Nigerians is high,we want to call on the president elect as a matter of priority to consider the establishment of north east development commission for rapid development of the North-East region which was ravaged by the Boko Haram insurgents'.Medugu said

Idris lamented how badly lives, dreams, aspirations and hopes have been broken and lost, the insurgency left the region with over populated of widows, orphans and weak people who are most vulnerable to any kind of attacks.
