When Mavins Artiste, Korede Bello, was invited to a church in Lekki to sing his song, 'Godwin', many people of the Christian faith raised eyebrows. The concerns raised included that why would man of God allow a secular artiste be allowed to perform in a place of worship. This topic has generated a lot of attention as certain men of repute have become involved in expressing their opinions on the matter.

Popular motivational speaker, Leke Adler, has said the artiste's presence in the church as him giving glory to God with his God-giving talents. He also said that the artiste was at the recieving end of people who were jealous of the fame of the artiste.

Pastor Bolaji Idowu, head pastor of the very church that invited the artiste has revealed that the what most Christian have displayed concerning the matter is ignorance. He said the entry into God's presence is free for all.

However, the artiste has opened up on the issue which has put him in the eye of the storm. He said that religion and spirituality are not compartible.

Korede said, "Thank you, Sir Leke Adler, Pastor Bolaji Idowu. Last last, Godwin. Religion and Spirituality are actually not friends. Mixed reactions about me glorifying God in the church! Am I not allowed to give my Testimony?"
