By FRED OGHENESIVBE

Few days to the governorship elections, wife of the Delta State APC gubernatorial candidate, Olorogun Rita Emerhor on Easter Monday provided free medical check-up and drugs to the people of Ewvreni Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State and urged them to vote massively for her husband, Olorogun O'tega Emerhor in next Saturdays governorship elections.

The free medical healthcare that was provided to all the sons and daughters of Evwreni community included free drugs for all who were sick in the community.

Mrs. Emerhor who woe the people of Evwreni kingdom to vote for her husband come April 11 during a rally held at Mokoro Mowoe Primary School, Ewvreni, called on the people to support her husband who she said is their son, adding that with the victory of APC at the national level, Deltans cannot afford to lose the state to any other party.

She said if the people of the kingdom vote for Emerhor, development will not only come to Delta State, but also Evwreni people, adding that they should not allow this great opportunity to pass them by.

Addressing the mammoth crowed that came out to show their support for Emerhor, Mrs. Emerhor assured the people that Emerhor will bring the needed change the people have been clamouring for, noting that the ruling party, PDP, has enslaved the people of the state for too long.

She said APC is now in the mainstream in the polity of the country adding that the emergence of Buhari as the president-elect has brought succour to the people of the country as corruption will be wiped out of the country.

She also called on the people of the community not to be deceived by the antics of the ruling party, urging them to take their money but vote them out of the government. She said PDP is no more in the mainstream of power and that with the victory of APC at the national level, PDP has automatically died a natural death.

She reminded the people of the community that PDP has brought nothing but pains to the people of Delta State, adding that it will be catastrophic for them to vote PDP in power again.

In a similar development, her campaign train hits Otovwodo, Ughelli North Local Government Area of the State, where she met with various political groups under the Umbrella Body of Victory Platform For O'tega.

Addressing the body, Mrs. Emerhor thanked the group for their support, saying with the coming together of various groups as one body, they will strengthen the O'tega campaign organization with a view to ensuring that Emerhor wins the next election.

She said a lot of people have seen the battered image of Nigeria in the eyes of the world, stressing that that was why they all spoke in one voice during the last Presidential election.

She said she is proud to be a Nigerian because the country is now a two party state where one party checkmates the other party, adding what Nigerians demonstrated at that election shows that power now belongs to the masses.

Mrs. Emerhor said the next governorship election will be different from the last presidential elections because Nigerians were now aware of the enormous power they now held in their hands.

She urged the group to go out and work tirelessly for the victory of Emerhor in the next election, saying that victory is sure for them at the end.
