By Oluwole Ogunlola

The peace of Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital was shattered for the better part of yesterday, as hoodlums belonging to the All Progressives Congress unleashed terror on residents of the town.

The hoodlums who moved round Ado Ekiti, under the guise of celebrating the APC's in the presidential election destroyed billboards and attacked perceived supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Led by Sunday Ibitoye, Kayode Ojo, Sunday Aduloju, Gbenga Olofin, Bidemi Egbeji, Funmilola Adeyemo and others, the hoodlums moved from Ajilosun area of the State capital to Fajuyi area where they attempted to forcefully enter the government house.

It took the combined efforts of policemen and military men for the hoodlums to be dispersed and for normalcy to return to the town.

Meanwhile, in other to forestall further breakdown of law and order in the State, the 7:30 pm to 6am curfew declared yesterday by Governor Ayodele Fayose will continue till further notice.
