ENDS Congratulates General Buhari, Praises President Jonathan

Listen to article

We at ENDS.ng wish to extend our hearty congratulations to Mr President-elect General Muhammad Buhari for the well deserved success in the just concluded, tightly contested presidential elections.

The conduct and outcome of the 2015 general elections has rewritten the history of Nigeria's democracy. It is a triumph penned in gold ink.

We salute the outgoing President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for creating the atmosphere of free/fair elections and his unprecedented statesmanly concession of defeat.

To us here at ENDS.ng, General Muhammad Buhari won the battle, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan won the peace and NIGERIANS won overall..

The victory is not about vengeance and retribution or about personal opportunity and self gratification. There shall be no victor and no vanquished. The President-elect shall be president to those who voted for him, those who voted against him and those who didn't vote at all.

We equally urge all Nigerians to remember that change is not about a change in baton but a step to rebuilding a New Nigeria of our dream.

ALL Nigerians, irrespective of political, regional, religious or ethnic divide, shall give meaningful contributions to the new Nigeria we aspire for. Together we achieve more.

Protect Your Revolution
While rejoicing we urge Nigerians to protect this revolutionary reformation process so it does not slip out of the hands of the ordinary Nigerian into the pockets of the cabal as it did after our successful revolutions where we kicked out the Junta in the past. This is a time for our collective commitment and vigilance in the challenging and daunting task to build the new Nigeria with peace, dignity and opportunity for all.

God bless Nigeria.
