The Expectations Of Adamawa People From Buhari Government

In the euphoria of gallant victory accorded to the president elect, Gen.Mohammadu Buhari, elected on the plat form of All Progressives Congress, it is an all through celebration galore since yesterday night to the time of filing in this report.

Going round the state capital to hear the view of some of the prominent people in the state on their expectations from the new Government by may 29th.

My First point of call is to the office of the state chairman of Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB), Alhaji Bello Dawuda Furo,who said the success recorded for immediately past presidential election is a national victory a reasons that made Buhari to special thank all Nigerians for the massive turned out of all and sundry to cast their votes for him,an indication to say change is the most constant thing in live and the people of Nigeria need the change and desire by all means.

"I want Buhari to understand that is the people that bring about the change we are seeing today, my expectations to him is to see that he tackle the issue of insecurity, I want him to halt this menance in a matter of urgency, secondly Buhari should create jobs to our teeming unemployed youths roaming the streets aimlessly" Foru said

The catholic Bishop of Adamawa Diocese, Rev Father Steven Dami Mamza in his own personal opinion expects Buhari to stick to his worlds when he said during his campaigns and make sure that he follows all to the latter

"I want Gen.Buhari to stick to his words that says he will not witch hunt anybody or even the past Government during his tenure but he will he will sanitize the country by fighting corruption to a halt, Buhari said he will not give room for people to do anything with public office, I expect the president elect stick to his campaign promises and make sure he response to all".Mamza expected.

The state Secretary of all progressives Congress (APC), Abudullahi Bapetel Bakari when consulted him at the party Secretariat during a thank press conference to the people of the state for voting APC senators in all the three zones and voting in six house of representatives members said knowing the kind of Government Buhari had before which was an all inclusive government, he hopes the president elect is going to have a unity government

"General Buhari had an all inclusive government in the past i expects him to still form a unity government".He said

A former press Secretary during Hamman Yero Murtala Nyako's regime said his expectations from Buhari's leadership is to see him having a people government, apt government that can better the life of every one, a government that will fight insecurity to the end.

"I know is going to be easy,and its require a lots of patience from us, as he said to today on his speech during the ceremony of issuance of certificate of return that is going to heat the ground for good leadership,so I expect a people government from Buhari, a government that will fight insecurity to the end and better up people's life in the country" Sajoh expected.
