The outcome of 2015 presidential election has triggerd lots of reactions from stakeholders across board, one of them is the Nigerian National Summit Group (NNSG) which distanced itself from the outburst of the former Minister of Niger Delta, Elder Godswill Orubebe at the collation hall of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Abuja.

Executive Secretary of the group, Mr.Tony Ipriye Uranta in a statement signed by him made available to pearl , said the allegations of bias levied against Professor Attahiru Jega should not be trivialized or treated with kids gloves.

The statement reads ”The NNSG witnessed along with millions of Nigerians and citizens of the world, the embarassing drama that transpired earlier today during the release of the Presidential Polls' Results by INEC, when Elder Orubebe (an Agent of the PDP) levied weighty accusations of 'bias, tribalism, partiality, compromise & foul play against INEC Chairman, Prof Attahiru Jega.

”Whilst one may not be comfortable with Elder Orubebe's outburst, we cannot run away from the fact that these allegations are too weighty to gloss over, if Nigerians do not want this erstwhile putatively smooth process to be derailed alongside the peace & security of Nigeria!”

Continuing, Uranta said, ”The NNSG hereby demands that Prof Jega reveals to Nigerians and the world how INEC intends to handle the PDP Petition in the four States where the Party claims “underage voting” etc took place.

The NNSG also calls on all individuals & parties to be circumspect in language & conduct, going forward, so as not to ignite any untowardness in the polity. Viva Nigeria!”
