Yesterday, the entire people of Obazu-Mbieri Community unanimously declared for All Progressives Congress and Okorocha-Madumere re-election bid for 2015 general elections following what they described as Rescue Mission ardent belief in democratic ideals and good governance.

Following this resolve it was glitz, glamour and pageantry that greeted the entrance of Prince Eze Madumere, the deputy Governor of Imo State yesterday at the football pitch of Obazu Community Grammar School during the ward rally of All Progressives Congress for Ezinihitte Ward.

The event witnessed the participation of every kindred and every family in Obazu-Mbieri as every class of the social strata was fully represented.

On Imo Deputy Governor's earlier visit to the palace of HRH, Eze Francis Elendu Agunwa, Ezi-ihe of Ezinihitte, Chief Felix Arisiukwu, the Traditional Prime Minister to Eze Agunwa assured Prince Madumere of the people's resolve to vote massively for Governor Okorocha and his Deputy and running mate Prince Eze Madumere in their re-election bid during guber elections 2015.

He averred that for about two decades with various government having successive governments, none of the remembered the need to rehabilitate Nkwo Orji-Obazu-Orie Mbieri Road except the government of Owelle Rochas Okorocha. He enumerated other areas the government has done well -area of free education, massive infrastructural development, security of life and property and government's belief in tenets of democratic ideals.

The Traditional Prime Minister however observed that with Prince Madumere, they can go and sleep believing he will ensure the completion of various socioeconomic projects the Rescue Mission Government has kick-started in Mbaitoli in general. He reminded Prince Madumere the dire need to resuscitate their Community Secondary School, which is Obazu Community Grammar School.

To buttress their resolve, Chief Arisiukwu led a retinue of Elders and leaders of various kindred for a prayer of agreement where they blessed and certified Gov. Okorocha and his Deputy with other APC candidates victorious in the forthcoming election. They also warned anyone who will see the effort of the government and vote otherwise. It will be recalled that the Mbieri people under the umbrella body of Mbieri Development Union had endorsed the duo candidacy of Governor Okorocha and his Deputy, Prince Madumere about three weeks ago.

At the venue of the event, Madumere was welcomed amid pomp with placards with various positive inscriptions like 'Rochas/Madumere na You We Know, APC Maka Odinma Ndi Obazu, Ride On Our Bale Deputy" and lots more. Women where were seen sweeping the The ground for Madumere's passage.

In his message to the people after presenting Hon Uche Onyeagocha for Senate, Chief I.B. Okafor for House of Representatives, Owelle Rochas Okorocha to whom he is running with and President Mohammadu Buhari. He requested that the people vote all the APC candidates so as to avoid hitches in providing dividends of democracy for the people.

He called on the people to discountenance the divisive politics of PDP where religion and ethnic sentiment have become a subject matter instead of issues. He feared what might be the repercussion of such negative politics. He however remind people of General Buhari's patriotism and his position that Nigeria remains a secular State as spelt out by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He promised that Rescue Mission Government will definitely accomplish its resolve to transform not only Mbieri in its entirety but the entire Mbaitoli Ikeduru and Imo State in general.

Praying for the success of the re-election bid of APC in Imo amd take over of Government at the Centre, Pa Ignasius who is over 90 yeras old descried the pervasive corruption in the land, which has led to the untold hardship among the people. He prayed God for free and fair election in both Federal and State elections. He prayed for the return of the good old days with the enthronement of APC.

For Mama Dorothy Ariole , 80, of Umuchoke, she said her family has resolved to give massive support to Gov. Okorocha and Prince Madumere saying the free education policy is something that has benefitted every family and therefore should continue. She said poor women can now train their children like the rich people.

In the same vein, Lady Christiana Ihemaguba of Umunkwo, a former Principal, she said since Sam Mbakwe left office, Imo people have never had it so good. She averred that teachers for the first time are happy people as salaries and allowances are paid as at when due. She also commended the Governor for his effort in pension payment s while charging to do more in the area of gratuity.

It will be recalled that different people spoke for different villages of Obazu as they all concurred that Owelle Rochas Okorocha and Prince Madumere are worthy of their votes and believed they will do even more for Ndi Imo.

Meanwhile, prior APC rally at Obazu, Imo Deputy Governor also visited Umuonyeali Industrial Market, the palace of HRH, Eze Godwin C. Duru, Eze Ihieri of Ihitte, attended a rally at Amaulu at the Central School.
