Finally, Obasanjo Announces Exit From Ruling PDP

BEVERLY HILLS, February 16, (THEWILL) – Former President, General Olusegun Obasanjo has announced his exit from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The former President, who ruled the nation as democratic president for 8 years on the PDP's ticket, told journalists Monday in Abeokuta, Ogun State that he will stay away from party politics and remain non-partisan.

Obasanjo, who has been a strong critic of President Goodluck Jonathan over his handling of the nation's affairs, tore his party membership card afterwards.
