Alhamdulillah, It's Mawlid al-Nabi; as we celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), lets spread His message of love through heartfelt gestures that will keep us together as a nation and pray that Almighty Allah grant our nation peace, fairness and transparency this forthcoming election.

The birth of the Holy Prophet signifies restoration; restoration from abnormality to normality, unfairness to fairness, injustice to justice, corruption to purity. These are salient virtues and standards that have eluded the Nigerian society for many years which explains why the nation has continued to suffer poor development in the community of nations.

To my Muslim brothers and sisters, let's internalize the fore mentioned virtues and practice them in our daily commitments as Nigerians. The fact that this occasion precedes Nigeria's general election is not an accident but a divine arrangement which gives us the rare opportunity to pray for restoration of normality in our nation through the forthcoming election Insha Allah.

Eid el-Maulud to all Muslims.
