RE: EKWUNIFE: The Campaign of a Rascal - by Obiora Okonkwo

A Rejoinder:
It is well known and scientifically proven that when someone makes an analysis with a wrong premise, he will likely end up with the wrong result. It is unfortunate that the writer of a publication with the above caption one indentified Obiora Okonkwo published in 247repoters.com decided to exhibit high level of ignorance and naivety just for a pot of porrige obliged by Victor Umeh. It is time to inform the unidentified Obiora Okonkwo and his pay masters that the era of Campaign of calumny has since past and its now worthless venture to undertake such fruitless exercise.

According to Mr. Okonkwo's allegations, the Campaign bill boards of Victor Umeh were defaced at Agukwu and Ezinano junction near Agukwu and all the unseen accusing fingers pointed at Hon. Mrs. Uche Ekwunife without more. Hon. Mrs. Uche Ekwunife was labeled the perpetrator of that criminal act – too bad. This is a clear case of injustice to the person of Hon. Uche Ekwunife.

Let it be known and clearly too, that the personality known, called and addressed as Hon. Mrs. Uche Ekwunife is too big for such act. She has no history of such act since she became a politician. She is rather an astute politician who believes so much in her work speaking for her. In the last eight years as a member of the House of Representatives, she has proved her mettle as one of the best (if not the best) Lawmaker in the South East of Nigeria in terms of democracy dividends she has attracted to her Anaocha/Njikoka/Dunukofia Federal Constituency.

Not too long ago, in 2011, when she contested for the National Assembly election under APGA there were no complaints of Hon. Ekwunife defacing the bill boards of other Candidates. During the planning of Campaign strategies for Governor Obiano's Governorship Campaign which Hon. Ekwunife played vital roles/parts, it was never on record that Hon. Ekwunife suggested that the bill boards of other Candidates contesting along side her then Party Willie Obiano be defaced. So where lies the impunity, blackmail, desperation and rascal behaviours ascribed to Hon. Ekwunife by Mr. Obiora Okonkwo?

For the avoidance of doubt, Hon. Ekwunife neither defaced nor procured any person or persons to deface the bill boards of Victor Umeh or that of any Candidate for that matter. She is not only too big for that but is also too descent and disciplined to be identified in such a thing.

In the light of the above, Mr. Okonkwo and his pay masters should take notice that gone are the days when elections are won on the basis of blackmail, name calling, name dropping, violence and other vices. Today, votes count and the electorates vote out of convinction of one's ability and track record and nothing more.

Uche Ekwunife has her ambition just like any other living human being including Mr. Okonkwo whose ambition is to get paid by writing for his pay masters against peace loving people like Hon. Ekwunife even when he knows that his write ups are tissues of falsehood. One more hint for Mr. Obiora Okonkwo and his pay masters, Hon. Mrs. Uche Ekwunife is not only a household name in Anambra Central Senatorial District but also in the whole of Anambra State. Her good works have endeared her to the people who are waiting for the day to come so that they can demonstrate their pay back support for her at the polls that will make her the Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing Anambra Central Senatorial District come 14th February, 2015. No more no less.
