Member House of Reps loose Primary Election.

The member Representing Hawul / Askira- Uba federal Constituency in Borno state, Honourable Abdu Musa Mshelizza was yesterday defeated at the primary elections of the All Progressive Congress (APC) with Honourable Jubrin Satumari clinching the poll having scored 502 votes out of the 595 votes cast.

The election which was described as fair, credible and peaceful took place at the Borno state Hotel in Maiduguri .

It was conducted by the members of the electoral committee headed by the APC state Chairman, Alhaji Ali Bukar Dalori, APC women Leader, Hajja Fati Kakena and Alhaji Kadiri Rahis in collaboration with INEC officials from Askira- Uba and Hawul Local Government Areas.

Announcing the results after the exercise,Alhaji Ali Bukar Dalori said, "Having certified the conditions laid down for the conduct of the APC primary election between contestants of the House of Representatives of Askira-Uba/Hawul Federal Constituency, I am pleased to announce that Honourable Jubrin Satumari has been elected as the Candidate for the 2015 general elections for Askira-Uba/Hawul constituency.

"Jubrin Satumari scored the highest votes with 502, Abdullahi Buba Malgwi came second having scored 90 votes, Major Stanley Ngadda scored 2 votes while the incumbent, Honourable Abdul Mshelizza scored only 1 votes.

"In line with the constitution of our great party APC, and the power bestowed on me as the electoral committee member, I therefore declared Honourable Satumari as the winner and the bonafide 2015 Candidate to contest as House of Representatives candidate for Askira- Uba/Hawul Federal Constituency". He stated.

While applauding the people of Askira- Uba /Hawul council areas, one of the leader of the APC in the zone, Honourable Usman Durkwa said, in every contest, there must be a winner and a loser, and therefore called on the people of the area and those who lost in the primaries to rally round Satumari and governor Kashim Shettima to ensure victory of APC at the forthcoming polls in the state.

Durkwa noted that all the contestants are members of his constituency as he does not have a special candidate, but to work assiduously for the progress of Askira-Uba/Hawul Federal Consttuency as a whole.

Durkwa then congratulated Satumari and advised him and his teaming supporters not to jubilate as there is a major task ahead in which he is going to slug it out with other candidates from opposition parties. Pointing out that, the time for jubilation should be after the 2015 general elections.

Also contributing, the Caretaker Chairman of Hawul Local Government Area, Dr. Andrew Usman Malgwi said, " in every political process, people's mandate is always good for the benefit of the party they belong, as such the primary elections was conducted in good faith and the candidate that emerged (Satumari) is a blessing to the APC not only in southern Borno but to the entire Borno APC . And it will go along way in saving our Governor's seat come 2015". Malgwi stated.

In his vote of thanks, Honourable Satumari thanked God and the people of his constituency for giving him the mandate to contest on the platform of the APC, and promised not to disappoint them if he come out victorious at the general elections slated for next year.
