PRESS RELEASE - THE 5TH MAY, 2009 DATE FOR THE RERUN ELECTION IN THE TWO WARDS OF OYE LOCAL GOVT – INEC SHOULD ORGANISE IT BETWEEN PDP AND ITSELF

By ACTION CONGRESS AC RIVERS STATE

We find it hard to understand why only two wards in an election

assumed to have been concluded in 14 out of the 16 Local Government

Councils of Ekiti State should stop INEC from announcing Dr. Fayemi of

AC the winner based on superior votes as the duly elected Governor of

Ekiti State. Lets us reiterate that as party we are not ready to

participate or accept the plot associated with the two wards of Oye

Local Government Tuesday re-run election as the intricacies and behind

the scene manoeuvres to give it to PDP is already known to the entire

world. INEC and PDP have by the Ekiti 'show of shame' demonstrated to

the world that they are husband and wife that can never be separated

by democratic norms and culture. If they have fixed 5th May, 2009 to

announce the rejected Chief Oni of PDP as the winner of the Ekiti

Guber election they should go ahead to exhibit their shameless act

without dragging the good name of AC into it.
We will like to state also that if INEC is serious and ready to act as

an uninterested and unbiased Empire it should go ahead to cancel the

results written by PDP and its agents in the 8 wards where results was

clandestinely collated in the Police Stations instead of the INEC

designated venues. We must commend the people of Ekiti State and the

INEC Commissioner, Mrs Adebayo for exposing the antecedents and the

ways PDP has been winning their elections in Nigeria through the help

of its inseparable wife, INEC.
If Chief Oni of PDP is a true son of Africa and respect the culture of

his people, he should understand the implication of the Ekiti women

going naked in order to stop him from been used by outsiders to

desecrate the mandate and culture of his people. The best option would

have being for him to announce his resignation from PDP and refuse to

participate in any further abracadabra of PDP and INEC plot.

In conclusion, INEC should go ahead to announce its husband the PDP

the winner of the Ekiti election and leave us alone until such a time

it is ready to purge itself of the undemocratic acts and notorious

undemocratic behaviour associated with it particularly now that it has

concluded arrangement to deploy soldiers that will help them in their

evil plot. Nevertheless, if the Nigerian Army to be deployed will not

be enough we can assist them to implore President Obama to send them

USA Armies to safeguard their hand written results. The world is

already aware of all the plots to scuttle the mandate of the people of

Ekiti State. We have already withdrawn our Representatives from Ekiti

State as the election in the State is fully concluded and won by AC;

any other thing contrary to that is only exhibition of the

undemocratic toga Of PDP and its wife, INEC.
