Presidency Sends Confab Resolutions To National Assembly

BEVERLY HILLS, October 18, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian Presidency has transmitted the resolution of the 2014 National Conference to the National Assembly for consideration and approval.

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Honourable Zakari Mohammed announced the development telling correspondents that the House would begin consideration of the report 'anytime from next week', even promising that it would get accelerated consideration.

'I can assure you of one thing that anytime from next week we will start considering the compressed version of the National Conference Report sent to us by the Presidency,' he said, assuring that any bill that makes it past the crucial third reading would be concluded before the tenure of this assembly lapses, and would not be allowed to spill into the next Assembly (8th Assembly).
