FG Honours National Flag Designer With OFR, Life Employment

The Federal Government has given the designer of the national flag, Pa Micheal Taiwo Akinkunmi, the Officer of the Federal Republic honour, including an automatic employment as a Special Adviser to the President for the rest of his life.

In the same vein, a taxi driver, Mr Ime Isua, who returned the sum of eight million Naira forgotten in his vehicle, as well as the longest serving steward in the Presidential Villa, Mr Micheal Onuh, have been rewarded with a housing accommodation in the Federal Capital Territory.

President Jonathan sprang the surprises at the International Conference Center, Abuja, while giving out national honours to over 300 Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in different spheres of life endeavors.

The President had called on Nigerians to participate actively in the nomination exercise designed to give honour to whom it is due.
