By The Citizen

The embattled Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, was today discharged and acquitted by Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court of alleged N600m money laundering. Ikuforiji's aide, Oyebode Atoyebi was equally discharged of the same alleged crime. Buba, while discharging the two held that the prosecution failed to prove the allegation of money laundering preferred against them. It could be recalled that the two were arraigned before the Federal High Court on June 24, 2013 on 56 counts bordering on conspiracy.
