Delta 2015: Group Backs Ochei

Against the background of an impressive resume of pragmatic and result oriented approach to administration, philanthropy and forthrightness, an independent group, the Victor Ochei Revolution 2015, has endorsed and declared its support for Rt Hon Victor Ochei's gubernatorial ambition.

This much was made known by the group's coordinator, Comrade Dakpos Damijo during a maiden visit to the erstwhile Speaker of the State Legislature in Asaba recently.

 
According to him, the group's resolve to rally support for Hon Ochei stemmed from the imperativeness of backing a candidate whose antecedent are replete with outstanding and extra-ordinary qualities, which did manifest in the string of achievements the Delta State Legislature recorded during his (Ochei's) leadership of the House of Assembly.

 
Comrade Dakpos further revealed that the body which comprises a large number of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faithful, has presence in the twenty-five Local Government Areas of the state.

 
Speaking also at the ceremony, the member representing the Udu State constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon (Chief) Liege- Lord Keston Okoro disclosed that his association with Rt Hon Ochei as colleagues in the Legislature informed his unflinching support for the group's resolution to back Rt Hon Ochei, whom he described as a prolific, forthright, altruistic, innovative philanthropist and above all a dye-in-the wool Deltan and in fact Nigerian patriot whose belief in a productive and egalitarian society is matchless.

 
These qualities he said compliment the vision and mission of the organisation, which propagate the core principle of Reach-out, Educate and Transform the society.

 
In his response, the Speaker Emeritus, Rt Hon Ochei, while expressing his profound gratitude to the body for the confidence so reposed in him, assured them of his readiness to identify with its lofty and sublime objectives, and vowed to pick up the gauntlets in contributing his quota to the development of the state through the actualisation of his gubernatorial ambition.
