The Minister of State for Works, Prince Dayo Adeyeye has said that roads in Ekiti state will receive improved attention from the federal government.

He gave the pledge during a thanksgiving in his honour at the central mosque Ise Ekiti. Prince Adeyeye explained that govt had mandated contractors handling its jobs to do a quality one that would be durable.

The minister said the Ifaki-Ikole-Omuo-Kogi high would be given high priority because it is of high economic importance to the region.

Earlier, the Chief Imam of Ise Ekiti, Alhaji Usman Ayolo called on Nigerians to always pray for the leadership as their stability or otherwise had incurable impact on the polity.

Meanwhile, the thanksgiving service will be rounded off tomorrow with a service at St. Mark Anglican church, Odo Ise in Ise Ekiti.
