JTF arrests 16 female suicide bombers, trainer

The Joint Task Force (JTF) in Kano, has arrested a man, Ibrahim Ibrahim, who was alleged to be the master trainer of  female suicide bombers with 16 females, who were reportedly trained for suicide operations.

The Nigerian Tribune gathered that the female suicide bombers were trained to carry out suicide operations  when the JTF raided their training ground and arrested them and their trainer.

However, while speaking with the spokesperson  of the JTF, over the arrest, Captain Ikechukwu Eze, while confirming the arrest, said that investigation is still ongoing on the  matter.

A top security operative, who preferred anonymity, disclosed that  when interrogated, the suspect said  that he brought the bombers from Sambisa forest in Borno State.

However, it will be recalled that the just concluded Sallah celebration was marred in the state as female suicide bombers struck at five different locations. Nigerian Tribune
