Dame Patience, Gov Dickson, For Rep. Dorgu's Foundation Launch

The member representing Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency of Bayelsa State in the House of Representatives, Hon Stella Dorgu, is set to launch her pet project, the Ayamara Foundation.

 
The event, which is billed to hold on the 6 th of  August, 2014, at the International Conference Center, Abuja, will bring together, political stakeholders, captains of industry, the diplomatic community, amongst others.

 
Expected at the event are Wife of the President, Dame Patience Jonathan, Bayelsa State Governor, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson and his wife, Rachael, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed, His Royal Highness,  Amalate Johnny Turner, amongst others.

 
In a statement made available to newsmen by Hon. Stella Dorgu in Abuja, explained that, the foundation was born out of the need to alleviate the sufferings of the less privileged and vulnerable as well as the physically challenged in the society.

 
According to her,  the foundation will be committed to enhancing the standard of living of Nigerians, especially women, children and the elderly through schemes and education opportunities.

 
The Federal parliamentarian stated that, the event, which also coincides with her 65 th birthday , anniversary, seeks to provide a platform for local and international women in business, promoting the rights of the girl-child, as well as empowering local communities for sustainable development.

 
The Ayamara Foundation is a private, independent, non-governmental and non-profit making  organisation , based in Sagbama Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, with offices in Abuja, Lagos and the United States.

 
The foundation is committed to enhancing the standard of living of the population of disenfranchised Nigerians, especially children (orphans), widows, the aged and the girl-child.
