Umaru Dikko is dead

Reports reaching Pointblankews.com indicates that Dr Umaru Dikko has died.

According to his son, Dr Bello Dikko, his father died in a London hospital after a protracted illness.

Dikko a Second Republic politician was one of the very prominent figures in the administration of former President, Shehu Shagari.

Dikko once held the office of Transport minister
When The Buhari/Idiagbon regime came in through a coup, their agents tried to bring back Dikko in a crate from London where he fled after the coup.
