Excitement and Smiles!!! As Absolut VIP Ticket Winners Return from MAMAs
LAGOS, Nigeria - Words could not describe the excitement and joyous serenity, as Absolut Vodka VIP winners made a touchdown in Lagos from the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards which was held in Durban, South Africa. The Absolut Vodka team comprising of VIP ticket winners, super key distributors, and the brand custodians were all smiles after a memorable entertaining experience which was a showcase of the brand's love for music, transformation, and creativity. It was an atmosphere of colorful faces, stylish looks, and musical funfair as Absolut raised the bar of celebrations in Africa.
The MAMAs event at the Durban International Convention Centre, KwaZulu-Natal far away in South Africa, created the avenue for the Absolut team - Akintayo Akinseloyin, Ademola Adelabu, Feyikemi Afolabi, Ayeni Oluwatobi, Esther Nwogu, Simeon Ejeh, Oluwadamilare Job and Celestine to join the global celebrations of young African talents. The league of Nigerian celebrities like Clarence Peters, Davido, Flavour and Tiwa Savage carted away a total of six awards at the MAMAs which was viewed by over 500 million people worldwide. And popular music video director, Clarence Peters won two awards - the 'Transform Today' by Absolut and Best Video.
Speaking during an interactive session with the media, Akintayo Akinseloyin, Brand Manager, Absolut Vodka Nigeria said, 'We are happy to be part of this celebration of creativity and transformation in young people which remains the pivot to partnering with the MAMAs. The Absolut brand is poised to inspire transformation with creative entertainment and this we have shown by giving some of our consumers a VIP experience at the Awards in South Africa.'
Aside attending the MTV Africa Music Awards, the Absolut Vodka team had an interesting merry-go-round of the City of Durban, a foremost tourist destinations in Africa. The road to the MAMAs in South Africa was an all-expense paid VIP experience for the ticket winners as they maneuvered from special retreats at international hotels to choice restaurants, shopping malls, fun-rides, exclusive parties, and sight-seeing of some memorable spots in Durban to mention a few.
The show was hosted by Hollywood actor and comedian Marlon Wayans and it featured performances from international artistes such as Miguel, Trey Songz, Flavour N'abania, French Montana, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Mafikizolo, Ice Prince, Dr SID, Fally Ipupa, Don Jazzy, DJ Clock and D'Banj.
