Ashafa mourns Senator Kuta

The Lawmaker representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Gbenga Ashafa, has sympathized with the family of the Kutas over the abrupt demise of a friend, colleague and an ally, Senator Dahiru Awaisu Kuta.

According to a statement released from his constituency office, ketu, Lagos, Ashafa said that he received the news with a heavy heart, stating that he still can not believe that within a twinkle of an eye such calamity can befall a true colleague.

The statement added " Sen. Dahiru Awaisu Kuta‎ was a true Nigerian, a soft spoken seasoned professional, an indefatigable soldier of democracy and a committed, magnanimous brother and motivator. The sudden and untimely loss of Senator Kuta is too painful to comprehend by the entire National Assembly.

Senator Kuta, who clocked 65 last April, Until his death, was the Chairman, Senate Committee on Federal Character & Inter- Governmental Affairs‎, he was very vibrant at the senate floor when it comes to debates on national issues or matters,lovable by his constituents and the whole of Niger State" He said.

Ashafa shares in the shock, agony, pain and bewilderment of all Nigerians and pray to Almighty God to give his immediate family, the good people of Niger State and Niger East Senatorial District in particular, which he represented, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. Amen!
