The over 3,000 beneficiaries of the Subsidy Re-Investment Programme (SURE-P) Community Services, Women and Youths Employment Scheme in Ekiti State have declared support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the State, Mr Ayodele Fayose.

The SURE-P beneficiaries said they would be at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti on Saturday to welcome President Goodluck Jonathan to the State and also express their support for Fayose.

In a release issued in Ado-Ekiti on Friday, the Chairman and Coordinator of the State Implementation Committee of the SURE-P in the State, Rt. Hon. Femi Akinyemi said the SURE-P beneficiaries were appreciative of the President Jonathan-led PDP government's efforts at alleviating poverty, through the Community Services, Women and Youths Employment Scheme.

He said over N300 million had been paid as stipend to the 3,000 beneficiaries of the scheme in the last one year.

'As a show of appreciation to President Jonathan, the over 3,000 beneficiaries of the scheme have unanimously declared that they will vote for the PDP candidate in the June 21 governorship election.

'They are collectively saying that whoever put food on someone's table deserves support and that the good turn done to them by President Jonathan will be rewarded with their votes for Fayose on June 21,' Akinyemi said.
