Atimbo Gulley Erosion In Calabar Municipality Under Construction
The Atimbo water Channel in Calabar Municipality, Calabar which had pulled down about nine residential buildings as a result of gulley erosion is under construction.
The collapse water Channel which had rendered about 150 people homeless and 15 others vulnerable is now under control.
The Community Relation Officer (CLO) of Sermatech Construction Company Mr Victor Inieweh said the Company decided to take over the project in order to remedy the situation on ground and as a result of the relationship between the Company and Government of Cross River State.
He called on the Community Leaders to support the project in order to attain success.
Responding, the Youth Leader Mr Archibong Edem appreciated the Company on their to rescue lives and properties, adding that the Community will support the project to the fullest. He pleaded with the Company to as a matter of Community Relation and Public Relation carry some of the Community youth along in order to put food on their tables.
One of the resident, a widow whose building was affected by the collapse thanked the Company and the State Government under the able Leadership of Senetor Imoke for coming to their aid.
