Justina Mutale, Founder & CEO of Positive Runway: Global Catwalk to Stop the Spread, who is also African Woman of the Year 2012, will be a Panel Speaker at the Resource Alliance NGO Leadership Meeting themed: 'What Does Real Leadership Look Like?'

'Leadership can come in many guises and can mean different things to different people. Yet at its heart are key ingredients that are essential no matter who is leading and under what circumstances. From battling cancer to conquering the catwalk, what does real leadership look like?' This is the question posed by Steven Inman, Resource Alliance Senior Progammes Manager and Convener of the Breakfast Meeting.

The Meeting will be held on Tuesday 3rd June 2014 at the NCVO Offices, 8 All Saints Street, London N1 9RL , from 8.30 - 10.30 a.m. (nearest underground/train station is Kings Cross). The event is FREE to attend, however there is a strict door name policy and delegates are required to register or RSVP by Email to: [email protected]

This will be a thought provoking breakfast debate on Leadership Perspectives from the NGO Sector and will bring together an eclectic mix of leaders from the global NGO sector who all have their own stories to share on what makes effective leadership. This breakfast meeting will offer delegates opportunities to network, debate and of course to enjoy a light continental breakfast with some of the sector's key leadership influencers.

'Debates such as these are critical for NGOs to stay relevant and alert to the constantly changing dynamics of the global landscape in the political, economic, social, technological and environmental spheres. NGOs need to be politically sharp and stay alert to emerging challenges and priorities on the global Agenda in order to efficiently navigate through the changing environment to realise their goals as effective agents in leading social change on the local, national and global agenda', says Justina Mutale

The Meeting will be Chaired by Andy Whyte, Founder of the Inspiration Bureau. Panel Speakers include: Andrew Hind CB, Formerly CEO of the Charity Commission and current Editor of Charity Finance; Justina Mutale, Founder of Positive Runway and African Woman of the Year 2012; David Milton, Head of Fundraising, Association for International Cancer Research; Emma-Jane Cross, Chief Executive, The BB Group; and Geraldine Kilbride: Leadership Coach at London Business School & Programme Director of the Resource Alliance Future Leaders Programme.

Drawing on its unique position and knowledge of the non-profit, the Resource Alliance is scheduled to present The Future Leaders Programme, which is designed to meet the career development needs of middle and senior managers seeking to become leaders within the sector, providing a platform to access training and coaching specifically tailored to their needs. The programme explores the demands of leadership and the skills required to lead effectively with special sensitivity to the needs of the non-profit sector.

The programme aims to help NGOs by: Building a group of exceptional leaders, preparing them for senior management; Enhancing the team leadership skills of executives and managers; Improving the networking and influencing skills of your executives and managers; Creating a diverse, performance-orientated culture; Gaining practical leadership tools that can be applied across the organisation, enabling better, engagement across multiple stakeholders.
