BOKO HARAM:AGAIN, 29 KILLED IN BORNO BORDER VILLAGE

At least 29 people were killed in Chukungduoa village of Gamboru Ngala Local Government Area of Borno state when some suspected members of Boko Haram terrorists laid attacked .

The attack, according to resident, Mallam Bakura Mustapha Alhaji occurred 10 days after the withdrawal of military from the village.

Our sources said, the gunmen in 15 vehicles and several motorcycles with AK47 rifles, Improvised Explosive Devices ( IEDs) and petrol bombs stormed the village at about 11am yesterday and opened fire on armless residents killing 29 people, while razing houses and shops.

Another source said, after killing about 29 people, many residents sustained gunshot wounds and are now receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Cameroon Republic.

He said, the whole buildings in the village were completely razed down with only three structures remaining untouched by the attackers, while the 29 dead bodies are still lying on ground as most of the villagers who were supposed to perform burial rites have all ran away.

"As I am talking to you now, we have counted 29 dead bodies lying on the street and, the village is deserted with not even security operatives.

" Some of our people have fled to Gamboru Ngala while others fled into neighbouring Cameroon villages. Please I am appealing to you to tell the government about the situation we in , it is really shocking"

Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Gideon Jubrin could not be reached for confirmation but a top security source who is not authorised to speak to the press confirmed the incident.
