Boko Haram: Jonathan meets security chiefs again, briefs them on Paris parley

Smarting from the Boko Haram parley in Paris, France, President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday met  with top military chiefs and heads of security agencies to review the security situation in Nigeria.

Pointblanknews,com learnt that the meeting which commenced at about 10 am,  among other things,  focused on the ongoing rescue efforts to free the over 250 Chibok school girls, and the crux of the Paris round-table.

The Paris meeting with a theme that could be tagged 'Kick out Boko Haram,  was attended by leaders of Chad, Cameroon, Niger Republic, Benin Republic, U.S., EU, and hosted by the French President, Francois Hollande.

Attendees at Monday's security meeting include the Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh; Chief of Army Staff, Kenneth Minimah; Chief of Naval Staff, Usman Jibrin; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Ademola Amosu.

The Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Abubakar, and the Director-General of State Security Service, SSS, Ita Ekpeyong, and head of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA) were also at the meeting which lasted till about 3pm.
