Re: ‘I Regret Ever Joining APGA’—Captain Ihenacho

By Iwuala Emperor

The attention of the former country's Minister of Interior Captain Emmanuel Ihenacho has been drawn to Wednesday May 14-19 2014 edition front page banner headline publication in Red Parrot Newspaper titled 'I regret ever joining APGA' Captain Iheanacho…'.Details of the publication is also contained in columns 1-4 page 5 of the same publication.

The publication among other things, states that the former Minister has demonstrated regrets in joining the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) because of factions and leadership tussle in the party. It went further to report that the Emekuku-Born mariner made the above statement when a group of persons visited him in his office.

Nevertheless, the former Minister wishes to state that at no time or place did he make the above statement.

Instructively, Captain Ihenacho's decision to join APGA was an answer to a clarion call by the masses and was well thought-out.

The former Minister was very much aware of the leadership crisis in APGA prior to his joining the party. Initially, some persons tried to discourage him from joining the party until the crisis was resolved. However, Captain Ihenacho was not discouraged by the said crisis before joining the party early this year. He has always maintained that his joining the party will help to resolve the crisis in the party. At various public occasions, he has continuously and unequivocally made the above positions clear to all and sundry.

Presently, there is a move in the party to bring the leadership tussle to an amicable end.

The former Minister is very proud of APGA, very proud of joining APGA and has not and will never regret joining APGA.

Therefore, the publication is not only false in its entirety but high suspicious, questionable and malicious.
