Abandoned Rifles Found In Kano

The fear of many in the ancient city of Kano that insurgents may be lurking around the commercial city was almost confirmed on Tuesday as police in the state found two riffles concealed in a sack and dumped in a dustbin at a corner within the city.

Police authorities said the recovery was as a result of timely information divulged by members of the public.

According to Kano Police Spokesman, ASP Musa Magaji Majiya in statement made available to Pointblanknews.com in Kano,  a patriotic Nigerian informed police intelligence of the development which led to the recovery of the rifles.

ASP Majiya expressed their appreciation to the general public for the timely information and corporation and urged Kano residents to remain security conscious and report suspicious movements and actions within their area.

“The Command is particularly happy with the piece of information given which led to the recovery of two rifles concealed in a dustbin by unknown miscreants within the metropolitan.

“The Command called on the public to maintain the tempo and continue to pray for sustainable peace in Kano state and the nation in general,” the Police spokesman further stated.
