Amanda Seyfried in Elle UK: ‘I don’t have to look like a supermodel’

Forget Karen Smith, because Amanda Seyfried is in the building and she’s not going anywhere.

On the cover of the June issue of Elle UK, the actress poses for Kai Z Feng in a Roberto Cavalli jacket and Melissa Odabash bikini, while tossing back her long blonde locks.

In the issue, Seyfried opens up about body image and the pressure to look a certain way. Although she tells Elle UK, “I don’t have to look like a supermodel,” Seyfried does admit that it’s not all seashells and balloons. “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t constantly aware of what I’m doing with my body,” she explains.

Just because Seyfried knows she doesn’t need “those abs” that we constantly see in the media, doesn’t mean that those images don’t affect her. “Because we have all been designed to want these things, I'm a victim of this stuff, too,” she says.

Seyfried also goes on to call model Kate Upton “the new image of beauty”, which definitely speaks to Upton’s recent career confession.
