At least, four hundred and eighty four students graduated from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, NIJ, during its fourth convocation and prize giving ceremony held on Wednesday at her Ogba Campus, Lagos State, in South-West Nigeria.

The two-day event which started with a lecture on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 was capped with the awards presentation at the institution.

The colourful ceremony which was held at the institution's Ogba Open field was well attended by the graduands who were awarded National Diploma, Higher National Diploma and Postgraduate certificates, among others.

It was gathered that 158 students were awarded with National Diploma, 149 with Higher National Diploma, 116 with PGD and 49 of the students bagged certificates in writing and effective communication. The other 12 graduates were awarded with proficiency certificate in Photojournalism.

Some of the graduating students were awarded prizes for their outstanding academic performance.
