Faithway International Chapel have donate to Ghana Heart Foundation

TV Evangelist, Pastor Selina Boachie Marfo and her Faithway International Chapel have donated an undisclosed amount of money to the Korle Bu Cardiothoracic Centre to aid in providing healthcare for people living with various heart conditions under the Ghana Health Foundation. Revealing that she was touched by a television news item, Pastor Selina, the general Overseer of Faithway International Chapel decided to contribute towards the cause of the heart foundation. She was accompanied by her husband, brother and some leaders from the church to make the donation.

Dr Baffoe Gyan, a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Korle Bu who received the donation, thanked pastor Selina and the church for their kind gesture and appealed to well-meaning Ghanaians to do same as the Ghana Heart Foundation is in dire need of resources to support patients with varying degrees of heart complications. Ghana Heart Foundation is a charity organization in Ghana that saves lives and improves health through informing the public on diseases of the heart and circulation and assisting people with cardiovascular disease as well as funding cardiovascular research and training health workers involved in cardiovascular care.

Dr Baffoe, highlighted some lifestyles that contribute to heart diseases to include high intake of salt, fatty foods, and stress. He advised healthy dieting and regular exercising as good prevention measures for heart complications.

Pastor Selina Boachie Marfo added that she would incorporate the advice in her surmons and also promised to get more of her church members educated on the need to support the Ghana Heart Foundation. She promised that she would request all gifts for her birthday this year to be in the form of cash donation to the foundation. Pastor Selina in a popular TV evangelist who can be seen on TV Africa every Saturday from 5pm.
