Rivers PDP Chairman Condemns Kidnap Of Popular Radio Broadcaster, Akas Baba, Rising Cases Of Assassinations, Kidnapping In The State
The Rivers State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bro. Felix Obuah has in very strong terms condemned the kidnap of Mr. Anthony Akatakpo, popularly known as Akas Baba, a broadcast journalist, and comedian with Wazobia FM in Port Harcourt.
The chairman who described Akas Baba as a grand provider of the essentials of happiness by lightening the general mood of the society deserves encouragement and appreciation and not this kind of ill-treatment.
The PDP chairman in a statement signed by his Media Adviser, Jerry Needam appealed to the abductors of this foremost comedian to release him unconditionally and save the already traumatized family further agony.
Bro Obuah also condemned the spate of killings and kidnappings across the State in the recent weeks and called on the new police Commissioner in the State and other security agents to brace up to the security challenges.
The PDP Chief also appealed to the youths in the State to desist from criminal acts that are capable of destroying the image and the economic prospects of the State.
