Preliminary Findings In 7 Months Salary Arrears In Abia State

Like I promised last week that i will get to the root of the report written by Onwumere on the said 7 months of salary arrears owed to ABIA STATE POLYTECHNIC STAFF.

I talked with the CHIEF PRESS SECRETARY on the issue ,he assured me that he will get to the root of it ,that he will take it serious and see that all this bad representations of Abia state will be corrected.

He was optimistic that no Government has done what Ochendo is doing in Abia ,that the Governor is not owing any salary or anybody, but on the education ,he said he will make consultations and get back to me.He said that the Government is working and improving the state from the rot he met on the ground.

I spoke with the Honorable Commissioner for Education whose office oversees the POLYTECHNIC and she told me that,ABIA POLY is enjoying a great understanding with the state ,that many POLY are on strike but Abia POLY is not.

She agreed that yes ,there are some months salary that is yet to be perfected but just a very few months ,she said that the reason includes ..the fact that the SUBVENTION of the SCHOOL were increased from 25 MILLION to 90 MILLION naira. She said that the government is working hard to make sure that this singular case of ABIA POLY will be addressed.

I have tried for 3 days to speak with the RECTOR OF ABIA STATE POLY to ascertain how many months they were owed ,and why it culminated ? is it arrears from the days of STRIKE or what ,but his phone is power off for 3 days and counting.
