The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Agbani ward,    Nkanu local government area of Enugu state Saturday dismissed reports that former governor of the state, Senator Chimaraoke Nnamani has returned to the party.

In a communiqué issued at the end  of their monthly ward meeting, the Agbani Ward executive of the party led by Nnamani Ndubuisi as acting Chairman, stated that the purported re-admission of Dr. Nnamani by the suspended ward chairman of the party, Monday Ngene was null and void and of no effect.

The communiqué dismissed as a sham, earlier meeting on February 27, 2014, in which Ngene and the former governor, with his supporters, stormed the ward office at Agbani in celebration of the former governor's return to the party.

The ward executive maintained that the former governor did not follow   due process as he did not write to the ward secretary as required by the PDP constitution. They therefore insisted that Dr. Nnamani was still a chieftain of the People for Democratic Change (PDC), which he formed after he left PDP.
