2015 Presidential Election: Youths Want Okorocha To Contest

Youths under the aegis of National Youth Assembly of Nigerian, NYAN have

called on the Imo state Governor Anayo Rochas Okorocha to run for

presidency in the next general election in the country.

NYAN paid courtesy call to Owelle Rochas Okorocha at the Government House,

Owerri recently.
The Speaker of NYAN comrade Kassim Mohammed Kassim and the SSA to the

Governor of Nassarawa State on Youths and Students matters, who led the

delegate described Governor Okorocha as a gift to Imo State whose

exemplary leadership style made him stand out from others.

Comrade Kassim said Nigeria needed a leader with vision and the interest

of the masses at heart such as Okorocha as he said “Governor Okorocha, you

are governor for the poor, governor for the widows, governor for the

children, governor for the students.” He disclosed that the remarkable

achievements of governor Okorocha in Imo state needed to be extended to

Nigerians at large adding that this has necessitated their decision to

passionately appeal to Owelle Okorocha to contest for the 2015

Presidential election so as to liberate Nigerians from the shackles of

misrule which has bedeviled them for years.
The NYAN Speaker who explained that their call was a unanimous decision

taken when they had meeting in Kano State, said it was not for them to

make money as he said “we are donating ourselves to work for you and we

will raise the fund”.
Governor Rochas Okorocha commended the youths for finding him worthy to

serve and empathized with them in their plight and quest to secure

brighter future in the mist of uncertainties in governance, economy and

means of livelihood.
The Governor blamed the woes of Nigeria on bad leadership style and urged

the youths not to seat on the fence but to contribute their quota in

rebuilding Nigeria. He enjoined the youths to have faith and be proud of

Nigeria as he said “I feel your pains, I can see our nation a great nation

among the nations.”
Owelle Okorocha lamented the practice of democracy in Nigeria which he

described as “government of the few, by the few and for the few” as

against the government of the people, by the people and for the people

He revealed that many other groups had called on him to run for presidency

he disclosed his passion to make Nigeria better whenever the opportunity

comes, pointing out that leadership with vision would exceedingly transfer
