MURDER OF US-BASED PROMOTER: Jude Ejiogu expresses shock, calls for thorough investigation

The Chief of Staff and Commissioner for Special Duties, Sir Jude Ejiogu has expressed shock over the killing of Prince Noel Tochukwu Unegbu, a US-based film promoter by unknown gunmen in his hostel room in Owerri describing it as callous, wicked and immoral.

Sir Ejiogu while describing late Tochukwu Unegbu as one of the promising Imo youths with abundance of talents regretted that he was murdered at his prime when he was mostly needed and appealed to all security agencies in the state to get to the root of the matter.

He therefore decried the rate of impunity in the society over killing of fellow human beings assuring that no stone would be left unturned in ensuring proper investigation and prosecution of culprits if apprehended.

The Chief of Staff while hinting further called on well spirited individuals in the state with related information that would lead to the immediate arrest of the assassins to please report to relevant authority and pleaded with members of the deceased family to take solace in the Lord.

Continuing, Sir Ejiogu advised all Imo youths who are at the receiving end of the departed soul of one of their strong allies to remain calm and shun any act capable of pre-empting the ongoing investigation by the security outfits in the state saying that efforts are on top gear to uncover perpetrators of the heinous act.
