More Aggrieved APC Leaders Will Join PDP Soon - Adeyeye
Former Spokesperson of Afenifere and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirants in Ekiti State, Prince Dayo Adeyeye has described the defection of former Governors of Kano and Sokoto States, Alhaji Ibrahim Shekarau and Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa as the beginning of the end for the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying; "More APC leaders will decamp to the PDP soon."
Adeyeye, who was addressing members of the Elder Committee of his campaign organisation in Ado-Ekiti today, said he was not worried when five governors of the PDP decamped to the APC because he knew that the APC will also suffer its own internal crisis.
He said: "We have seen the defection of former governors of Kano and Sokoto State from the APC to the PDP.
"In the next few days, some other major factors in the APC will dump the party for the PDP and I can assure you that many of those who helped to form the APC will leave the party.
"I am saying this because I have been part of those people in the APC before. Some of us left them because they never allowed democracy and we can never go back there.
"I know that many of these people joining them will soon realise that they have left heaven for hell fire and those who merged their parties to form APC will have no option than to leave because not everyone will want to be yes men to the lord of Bourdillon.
"Therefore, we should be focussed on wining Ekiti for the PDP in June instead of worrying our minds on defection of some of our party members to the APC because I can assure you that party (APC) is just like a balloon, it will only take a needle to deflate it."
