Senator Gwarzo Offers Free Medicare To 3,000 Persons In Kano

SAN FRANCISCO, February 08, (THEWILL) -  In an apparent show of love and affection to his constituents, 3,000 persons have benefitted from a free medical treatment programme sponsored by the Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo,  in his constituency in Kano.

A statement issued on Saturday by Senator  Gwarzo's media aide, Alhaji Ibrahim Garba, said the humanitarian gesture, which took place in three districts of Gwarzo Local Government Area, covering  10 wards, was carried out by the Kano State Medical Students Association led by Rufa'i Datti Gwarzo.

The statement disclosed that  free  drugs and other medication were distributed to the beneficiaries during the exercise.

He  stressed that the  Senator  has promised to sustain the programme as part of effort to provide quality healthcare service to the people of his constituency.

The leader of the Kano State Medical Students Association popularly known as 'Medical Caravan', Rufa'i Datti Gwarzo, in a brief remark during the exercise,  praised Senator Gwarzo for sponsoring the programme to assist  the less privileged in the constituency.

An  award was also presented to the Senator in recognition of his effort towards providing free medical services to his constituents.
