Terrorism: Kogi Varsity Lecturer, Two Others Remanded In Kuje Prison

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, February 03, (THEWILL) - The Federal Government on Monday finally arraigned the Kogi State university lecturer, Dr.

Nazeef Yunus , and two others, Umar Musa and Salami Abdullahi, facing an eight-count charge of terrorism before Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the Federal High Court, Abuja The accused were accused of engaging in acts of terrorism, unlawful possession of weapons and ammunition; recruiting members for, supporting and funding Boko Haram, among others.

They however pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to them and  the judge ordered that they  be remanded in Kuje Prison, Abuja as he adjourned hearing of their bail applications to February 10 .

The three accused , Mustapha Yusuf, Ismaila Abdulazeez, and Ibrahim Isa Hayafu, are among the six arrested and paraded by the State Security Services (SSS) last November and accused of being Boko Haram members .

Last month,  Justice Kolawole ordered their release when the SSS said they had no sufficient evidence to prosecute them.
