A total of 85 persons have been confirmed dead after Boko Haram

terrorist invaded Kawuri Village in Konduga local government area of

Borno State , Pointblanknews.com has gathered .
Secretary of  Konduga local Government Area, Alhaji Ali Kaka Yale told

Governor Kashim Shettima during a visit to the scene of the incident

that  85 persons were killed during the attack, 16 people are  still

missing while  over 300 houses and shop were burnt.

According to Yale ,  ” 83 people lost their lives yesterday during the

attack lunched by suspected Boko Haram terrorist who came in large numbers

and many vehicles ,  2 more corpses were  recovered today bringing the

death toll to 85″.
Moved with compassion the state governor who was  almost move to tears

announced the sum of 25, 000 to each of the deceased family to cushion

the effect of their current sufferings .
Governor Kashim Shettima while commiserating with people of the area, also

promised to re-build 5 mosques, houses and the market destroyed by the

insurgents.
The governor condemned in strong terms the level of killing and

destruction, describing the action of the terrorists as anti Islam,

barbaric and callous, adding that government will do everything possible

to alleviate the suffering of the victims.
He prayed for the reposed of the souls of those who lost their lives and

called on the people to continue praying for the restoration of peace to

the state.
