2015: Tambuwal The President Nigeria Deserves

We have many leaders and actually lots of people occupy public offices, from the local governments, to the state and national levels and the business community as well. We have many leaders but we have only few leaders who can make meaningful difference in the scheme of things. Frankly, the quality of leadership that is needed to transform our country is a leadership that is driven by vision and commitment. We also need a critical mass of the people, that should think differently in making way for a paradigm shift.

As responsible and progressive minds we dispassionately express confidence in the leadership qualities of Rt. Hon. Waziri Aminu Tambuwal, the current Speaker of the House of Representatives and thanked him for giving us hope and assurances. His conduct has shown that the upcoming generation has the capacity to sustain the labour of our heroes past. When leaders like Tambuwal delivers on their electoral promises, then the nation will be better for it socially, economically and politically.

We all must admit that we do have a task of making this marriage work. A marriage that has survived 100 years can no longer be said to be an accident. We should desire to be Nigerians whose minds and hearts flood with abiding faith in our nation's virtue and verbosity.

We need people who will stand in the gap, people who are not for sale; people who are honest, sound from centre to circumference, true to the heart's core, people with conscience and integrity as steady as the needle to the pole. Men and women who will stand for the truth even if the heavens totter and the earth reels; people who can tell the truth and look the world right in the eye. Leaders who neither brag nor shy away from challenges, people in whom the courage to bring betterment to the citizenry runs deep, and strong.

People who know their work and attend to it; people who will not lie, shirk, and dodge responsibilities, people who are not lazy or proud to their duty.

We need people who will own up to their mistakes, people who will not pervert justice, marginalize others or taint the image of our dearly beloved nation.

Nigeria needs a positive change to move forward and only selfless and visionary leaders can help Nigerians and Nigeria achieve this, without mincing words that person is Rt. Hon. Waziri Aminu Tambuwal. God bless Nigeria.
