Jonathan Nominates Gusau, Haruna, Obanikoro, Others As Ministers

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, January 21, (THEWILL) - President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has forwarded the names of 12 ministerial nominees to the Senate for confirmation as ministers of the Federal Republic.

Notable on the list are a former NSA, Alhaji Aliyu Gusau Mohammed, who is being tipped to for the Ministry of Defence, as well as a former Governor of Adamawa State, Mr.

Boni Haruna.
The nominees are expected to fill the vacancies created following the sacking of some Ministers by the President in the last quarter of last year.

The names of the nominees were read out by the President of the Senate, Senator David Mark at the resumption of plenary today after a long break.

Also, in a separate letter, the President also sent the names of the new service chiefs to the senate for confirmation.
