The PDP Blames Ogun APC Crisis On Lack of Vision

By Jerry Needam

The Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has condemned in very strong terms the Thursday, January 16, 2014 shooting in Ogun State involving warring factions of the All Progressives Congress, APC which left scores of persons injured including police personnel.

Describing the incident as barbaric and uncalled for, the PDP in a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media to the State Chairman, Jerry Needam blamed the development on lack of vision by the APC leadership.

The statement noted that militarization of party politics has become the tradition of the APC in the absence of grassroots support, stressing that it's same desperation to force itself on the people that is responsible for the crisis in Rivers State.

The party called on all Nigerians everywhere not to submit to the outdated politics of coercion as being introduced by the APC and called on the law enforcement agents to investigate the Ogun crisis and ensure the culprits are fished out and prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others.
