War against Terrorism Continues, Says Jonathan

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on Saturday underlined the commitment of the Federal Government to acts of terrorism in the North.

Speaking in Wudil, Kano State during the combined passing parade of Cadet Officers comprising Assistant Superintendent of Police ASPs and Inspectors at the Police Academy, Jonathan assured that the government would eventually win its wars against terrorists.

This, he expressed certainty of, because the Federal Government would continue supporting all security agencies in the war. He urged the combined graduating cadet officers to deploy the skills they have acquired in almost two years of the course to for the reversal of crime and terrorism, in the interest of the government and the public.

'The Federal Government will continue to support the efforts of the various security agencies in tackling the lingering security challenges in the country', he said. 'The government is determined to promote and ensure a combat-ready Police Force'.

Also speaking, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Abubakar implored the officers put the acquired knowledge into practice, in line with the mission and vision of the Nigeria Police Force of promoting a combat ready Force that will tackle the daunting security challenges confronting the nation.
